The city of Cole Camp recently wrapped up the audit of the books in 2014 and they where very pleased with the results. Mayor Burton Bormann says that the city’s operations were in great shape. At their last city meeting, the board of aldermen discussed a new ordinance that would require all full time employee’s of the city live within 12 miles of the city hall. The only exception to that rule would be the police chief who has to reside in the city limits. The attorney for the city, Gary Cover, told the board that they need to write the ordinance better to explain the residency requirements and that he would put one together for their next meeting. The city did discuss the issue with rust in the city water, which has been reported by several residents, but said that they have not seen any issues yet in the tests that have been done on the water system.
