Residents in the City of Cole Camp are frustrated after dealing with rust in the city’s water system. At the most recent meeting for the Board of Alderman, residents complained to board members about the problem before the meeting could even get started. One person said the issue could be rust inside the city’s water tower which is slated to be repainted on the inside next summer. The board also approved a resolution which allows them to now get a $30,000 grant from the USDA. The board has also passed an ordinance extending a tax for the transportation department for repair work done on area roads and bridges. Finally the board approved the Police department to purchase a new desktop and the Public Works department a new lawn mower.
