There are conflicting reports about the price of propane for the upcoming winter months. According to the Missouri Propane Association, prices could again be high this year, while a winter fuels outlook report from the Department of Energy shows prices could be down as much as 27% compared to last winter. The possible reasons for high prices again this year include a large export market, a greater need to dry grain and another cold winter. However, some are predicting warmer temperatures for the winter months. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecasts temp’s will be up 16% across the Midwest.
