Groups interested in preserving wildlife habitat in Missouri could get some grant money from the state to help them out. The Department of Conservation has announced a grant program for government agencies or non-profits to help develop conservation strategies in urban areas. The money can be used for providing aquatic or terrestrial habitat, training, and education on restoring and maintaining habitats and landscapes. An information meeting for the program is scheduled for June 11 in Springfield. You can get more information on the Department of Conservation’s website.
