A Laclede county man involved in a $28 million dollar lawsuit against an area business is attempting to take his case to the Missouri Supreme Court. Attorneys for 56 year old Philip Berger have announced they are taking the case against Copeland Scroll Compressors to the state’s highest court. An appeal for the case was recently dismissed by the Missouri court of appeals and sent back to Laclede County circuit court. The court ruled there was no final judgement as the defendants had not been officially disposed of in the case. Berger and his attorney disagree and will now be seeking to get the case moved to the state supreme court.
