One of two Eldon teens charged in a child porn case is set for a counsel status hearing after having his case included in a caseload conference by the Public Defender’s office. Public Defender Justin Carver has sought relief from the courts on a number of cases, citing a heavy case load and a reduced staff. Kyle Gann’s case was included in that motion in February. Gann’s charged with possession of child porn. His status hearing will be held May 2nd. The second person charged as a result of that investigation, Seth James, is currently scheduled for trial in June. He’ll have a pre-trial conference next month. James faces three counts of possessing child porn and another charge of promoting child porn. The charges all stem from an investigation into an image shared between the two on social media.
