The alleged murder case against one Miller County woman is expected to make a return to the courtroom this next week while another has been continued until later this year. Courthouse records show that Lisa Shockley is scheduled to be in the courtroom on Monday for a case review hearing. Shockley is charged with second-degree murder and delivery of a controlled substance in connection to an overdose death which, allegedly, happened from her providing the drugs used for the overdose.
Another alleged murder case in Miller County, filed against Amy Murray, had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Monday. Murray is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, arson and tampering with physical evidence. She is being accused of killing her husband and then setting their house, in Iberia, on fire in an effort to hide the murder. Her preliminary hearing is now set for the end of October.
