A Missouri Appeals Court panel has rewritten the ballot summary for a proposed Constitutional Amendment regarding early voting. In its ruling, the panel says the summary prepared by the State legislature was misleading because it didn’t mention the early period would occur only if the Legislature and Governor provide funding. Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster says he won’t ask the Supreme Court to hear the case, and house and senate leaders say they did not want to appeal the ruling either because they didn’t want further legal complications before the measure appears on the ballot in November.
