A lake area attorney is concerned about recent closures of the Camden County Courthouse. Christopher Rohrer says it’s costing taxpayers money, often unnecessarily.
Rohrer says that by his count, there have been 13 closures relating to weather since last January, and apparently there’s no formal policy in place dictating when the closures will come.
Rohrer says that’s cost taxpayers over half a million dollars since last January.
The commission has also not granted a request from KRMS to be notified on days that the administration offices are closed so that we can inform the public. Commissioner Don Williams says the policy is currently under review and could be changed soon.
