A lake area race team is working hard to try to salvage the rest of their season after a wreck at Lake Race ’18. The CR Racing team took a turn for the worse last Saturday.
That’s Casey Boaz. The boat’s steering arm broke and one of the engines came off in the flip, but was held on by one bolt, so it wasn’t a total loss. Boaz also says some pre-race precaution may have saved their lives.
Boaz says there’s a lot of work to do to get the boat back in the water but they think they can stay in contention for a title. They hope to compete in Sarasota but the boat may not be ready until the race in Mentor, Ohio.
