After yesterday’s election the question of city leadership is now in the hands of the city council in Lebanon. Unofficially, 1,796 voters cast ballots yesterday to recall Lebanon mayor C.P. Craig from office. 438 voted to retain the mayor who was elected back in 2008. A citizens group called Team Recall gathered signatures to put the issue on the August ballot. There were two issues cited as reasons for the recall, the dismissal of Lebanon Police officer Karen Guinn and the conduct surrounding a meeting where the city mayor pro tem and city council were locked out of city hall. The mayor pro tem will handle the city business until the city moves to appoint a new mayor to replace Craig.
