One person is in serious condition following a collision on the water on Wednesday.
According to the Highway Patrol’s Water Division, 41-year-old John Decker of Warsaw was injured after being stuck by a boat while riding a knee board at the 89 ½ mile marker of the Lake of the Ozarks.
The patrol says 45-year-old Matthew Gardner of Warsaw was traveling East in his boat on the Lake when he noticed the Decker’s boat stopped on the water.
Gardner then veered off to the left to avoid a collision and struck Decker, who had been floating in the water after falling from his knee board moments earlier.
Decker was transported by helicopter to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
