A crazy scene unfolded in Dallas county, just south of the Lake, over this past weekend.

The Dallas Sheriff’s office says several deputies were caught up in a “wild chase” with a wanted felon, who stole numerous cars and fired on deputies several times.

Officials say the pursuit started around 2AM Saturday morning in Buffalo, when the unidentified man started firing on the arresting deputies, crashed into a police car, then fled the scene.

Deputies found him a short time later near Louisburg in stolen truck with a trailer, and were fired upon yet again as he made another escape.

Eventually the man entered Greene county, where he stole another car at gunpoint from an elderly driver.

He made it was back into Dallas county and was finally stopped when he pulled into a driveway off State Highway 38, just east of US 65.

The man was then taken into custody.
