Today (wed) is one of the busiest travel days of the year as Americans try and get a head start on the holiday traffic. According to trip advisor’s annual thanksgiving travel survey, 25% of us will be traveling today with 60% driving and 35% flying. According to the survey, motorists will be driving farther this year as 60% will travel more than 200 miles up 9% from last year. People can also expect cheaper gas prices for thanksgiving and law enforcement is also expected to have additional personnel on duty. The Missouri Highway Patrol will have it’s 20 mile trooper program in effect which puts troopers every 20 miles along major roads and interstates.
