With still a week to go before this year’s primary elections, absentee votes continue to trickle in around the lake area. And for those wanting to do so by mail, Miller County Clerk Clinton Jenkins says the deadline to request a ballot is right around the corner.
Jenkins say, so far, about 200 absentee ballots have been received, which he describes as a pretty typical number for a primary election. Elsewhere around the lake area, the Camden County Clerk’s Office reports, as of Monday, 542 absentee ballots have been received and, in Morgan County, the clerk’s office reported around 130 absentee ballots received so far. Election day is set for next Tuesday, August 7th.
