DED Releases Latest Job Numbers

The latest job numbers have been released by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. According to the D.E.D., Missouri’s unemployment rate fell by 3-tenths of a point in October to 5.0 percent, the lowest rate since April 2007. The state’s nonfarm payroll employment also increased by 1,400 jobs over the month. Among the industries that experienced increases in employment in October were Health Care & Social Assistance, Construction, and Professional & Business Services.
