New rules when it comes to deer hunting here. The city says if you have deer on your property and want to allow hunters there, you need to stop into City Hall and fill out a form first. It also
means no attaching tree stands to the tree…it has to be elevated at least 10 feet off the ground. No hunting on property less than five acres in size, one hunter per five acres, all hunters have to report
to the city of Lake Ozark within 24 hours of taking a deer. There are other rules about how close you are to homes, businesses, vehicles, streets and public right of way. You have to make an effort to
find a deer once it’s been wounded, and no dressing the deer in a public place or discarding of body parts unless it’s in a trash bin. Once you move the deer, it has to be covered. Anyone with questions
is aksed to call City Hall
