More than 260,000 deer were killed in Missouri during this year’s hunting season which is an increase of 8,000 from the previous one. That’s according to the Missouri Department of Conservation. The 2014 spring and fall turkey numbers are also in, with hunters killing almost 56,000. The MDC also reports there were four hunting related deaths during deer season; one hunter fell from a tree stand, another was killed after a heater exploded inside a deer blind, one died from a heart attack and the fourth was killed after being shot by another hunter.
