Fairly good numbers are being reported for this year’s Missouri firearms deer season. Building on a strong opening weekend, hunters went on to check over 167,000 deer between November 15th and the 25th. That’s an increase of nearly ten thousand from last year. This year’s harvest is six percent larger than last year but ten percent below the previous five year average. 25 days of firearms hunting remain in the antlerless, alternative, and late youth portions of deer season while archery season runs thru January 15th.
