Department Of Labor Warns Against Scam Targeting Businesses In The Ozarks

Some Lake Area businesses, including KRMS Radio, are getting phone calls from the U-S Department of Labor, and they’re a scam.

You could a get a call from someone saying they’re from the Department of Labor and they might start asking for details about the company, including employee salaries and Social Security numbers.

The person may also say they can’t send mail because of COVID-19.

But a contact with the Department of Labor tells KRMS News the agency only sends mail and it will never call you on the phone.

The contact says you can go to the Department of Labor website for information validating phone calls.
