A Camdenton man accused of involuntary manslaughter for the drug-related death of his mother in 2021 has seen his trial delayed.
Court records indicate that the state asked for a continuance in the case of Dereck Beck whose trial had been set to begin on Tuesday morning.
It’s now been pushed to January 9th of next year.
Beck is accused of giving his mother a controlled substance he made from illicit ingredients causing the woman’s death.
His girlfriend, Morgan Walters, was also charged but her case has reportedly been closed to the public.
