It was evidence from a D-N-A sample that led to the arrest of a man charged with robbing the Bank of Macks Creek almost 12 years ago. The bank was held-up in September, 1999 by a gunman wearing a pair of nylon stockings over his head and a bandana. The disguise was found a couple of miles away by Camden County deputies. 47-year-old Joel Davis was apprehended at his home near Independence this week, when a D-N-A sample he provided while serving prison time for another crime, returned a hit from a computer database. Investigators were able to track Davis down through parole information. He’s now being held in the Camden County Jail.
