An astute home owner and technology have played a role in charges filed against a burglary suspect in Camden County. The case dates back nearly two years when the Camden County Sheriff’s Office was called to Paw Ridge Road after a home owner returned to the lake to find his property had been broken into. A window had been broken and property inside the home was described as being in disarray. During the investigation, the deputy observed blood on a light switch and was able to get a sample to run DNA tests. The samples came back in May and identified the suspect as Bobbie Ann Mason. She’s been charged with second-degree burglary, theft or stealing of items valued at over $500, and second-degree property damage.
