“Based on test results from the manufacturing facility, the department identified 16 residences that might have been affected by trichloroethylene or T-C-E. The department requested permission from the 16 residences and received consent from ten to conduct testing. Seven samples were below the E-P-A residential screening level. Two homes were above the screening level but below the action level. The last home was above the screening level but below the action level for the indoor air sample. Its sub-slab reading was above the residential sub-slab vapor intrusion screening level for T-C-E, which prompted the department to have a vapor mitigation system installed. The department has shared all test results with the homeowners and has been available to answer any questions concerning the tests. Representatives from the Missouri Department of Health have been available to answer any health related questions.” – unquote. The information from the D-N-R was given to the public on Tuesday (8) in an informational style meeting…
