Domestic Assault Suspect Taken Into Custody in Camden County

The search for a Camden County man wanted after a domestic dispute that seriously injured one person has comes to an end with his arrest. Captain Chris Twitchel says 43-year-old Scott Gruber was taken into custody, Wednesday, without incident in the Sunrise Beach area. Gruber is formally charged with a class-A felony for domestic assault. Courthouse documents allege that Gruber lifted a woman off the floor by her throat, slammed her against a wall and threw her to the floor striking her in the back multiple times with a closed fist. Gruber, who was also involved in a domestic assault at the same location in late December, was taken to the Camden County Jail where he is being held without bond.
