Some residents in Eldon are upset with city council plans for spending money donated for tornado victims. Approximately $26,000 was donated, and many people feel that money should be distributed to the individual victims, as they feel was originally intended by the donors. City Council appears to disagree, however. According to media reports from KRCG TV, the city says it will be too difficult to determine who should receive the money, so they’re treating like any other city expenditure to be decided by the council. They’re reportedly considering either purchasing a tornado siren for the city or donating the money to the Ministerial Alliance.
