The roller coaster continues for farmers and ranchers across the state. According to the Department of Natural Resources, drought conditions have improved by more than 11% since the last report issued a week ago. Just over 54% of the state continues to experience dry or drought conditions. Severe drought conditions persist in parts of 10 counties, including Morgan and Moniteau. For the first time since July 31st, there are no counties considered to be in exceptional drought. There are also no counties in extreme drought, marking the first time that has happened since July 3rd.
