The Moniteau County Sheriff’s Department has three people from the city of California in custody on drug charges, after a mid-Missouri Drug Task Force Investigation culminated in arrests on Tuesday night. Officers searched a house on Highway D and recovered items associated with the manufacture and sale of methamphetamine. No one was home at the time, but police pulled over the owners a short time later, and found they had 18 grams of methamphetamine in the car. 27 year old Nathan Belt and 28 year old Heidi Fields were arrested. Then, officers searched the home of 46 year old Donna Belt on Wilkes Street, recovering drugs and paraphernalia. She was also arrested and charged.
