The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group is offering to take your prescription drugs this weekend. They’ve announced the DEA’s 13th prescription drug take back event in seven years in hopes to prevent pill abuse and theft. In the previous 12 events, the DEA and its partners report collecting over 3,500 tons of pills. They ask that you bring your expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs to a collection site nearby. In the Lake Area, they can be taken to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office or the Osage Beach Police Department from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
