People with unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs have a chance to offload those medications later this month. There’s another national drug take back event scheduled for October 28th. Last April, more than 450 tons of prescription drugs were turned in across the country. Since the DEA started the program seven years ago, more than 8.1 million pounds, or more than 4,000 tons of pills have been collected. The Osage Beach Police Department will serve as one of the drop-off points. For more information or to find a drop-off location near you, log on to www.dea.gov.
