The U.S. House version of the payroll tax cut bill includes things that U.S. House Republicans believe could create jobs.
Ninth District Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer says the tar sands pipe connecting oil in Canada to oil in Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Texas is a opportunity.
Luetkemeyer says the drug testing issue is something that needs to be uniform across the country.
The payroll tax will increase from 4.2 to 6.2% on the first $110,100 of payroll if nothing is done by December 31st.
The U.S. House will debate the bill this week.
