A several month long investigation comes to an end with felony drug arrests being made in Miller County. A press release issued by Sheriff Louie Gregoire indicates that deputies teamed up with the Mid-Missouri Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force to discover an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications and firearms. As a result, five suspects were taken into custody between August 31st and
September 1st and charged with one felony count each of possession of a controlled substance. They are identified as Ruth Allen of Eldon, Christine Cusanelli and Carmen Martinez of Kaiser, Timothy Nicholas of Eldon and Julio Diaz-Balderas of Osage Beach. Nicholas, who was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon, and Diaz-Balderas are both free after posting bond. As of Tuesday night…Allen, Cusanelli and Martinez were still being held on bonds ranging from $25-100-thousand. More arrests and charges are to be expected according to the press release.
