Drunk driving is being blamed on a two-vehicle accident here in the Lake Area leaving one person dead and three others seriously injured, including an Eldon couple. That’s according to highway patrol reports which indicate that it happened around 7:45 Saturday evening at the intersection of Highway-54 and Route-W in Miller County. 50-year-old Donald Talbott, of Marshall, was westbound when he turned into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by Bobby Albertson, of Eldon. Pronounced dead at the scene was a passenger in Talbott’s car, 46-year-old Grace Helgenberger, also from Marshall. Talbott, Albertson and Albertson’s wife, Donna, were seriously hurt…Talbott flown to University Hospital and the Albertson’s taken to Lake Regional. Talbott is being charged, according to the highway patrol, with felony DWI involving the death of another, failure to yield and for not wearing his seat belt.
