Citizens of Miller County driving under the influence will not be allowed to opt out of a blood test. Miller County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Howard along with local judges, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and local law enforcement agencies have joined together to implement a “no refusal” policy on DWI arrests in Miller County. Law Enforcement Officers now have a tool that will place their DWI investigations in a digital format that can be processed and issued electronically by the court to authorize a blood draw. this would allow the search warrant to be in the hands of the officer within a few minutes without having to leave the scene. Howard hopes this will reduce drunk driving in Miller County.
