A home is destroyed along with damages to neighboring property after an early-morning fire. It happened in the area around Cedar Heights Condos on Highway 54 West. Crews were battling a fire in the trees there along the hillside when they found the residential structure fire on Good Neighbors Lane. The two-story home was fully involved and the roof had collapsed. A lack of hydrants required crews to shuttle water to fight the blaze. Nobody was home at the time and the home is a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Mid-County and State Fire Marshal’s Office. Mid-County was assisted by Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Lake Ozark, and Southwest Fire Districts, the Camden County Sheriff’s office, and Southwest Electric Cooperative.
