Felony drug charges are filed against two Lake Area residents after the Miller County Sheriff’s Department executes a search warrant in Eldon. According to probable cause statements filed in the courthouse, the warrant was served on Tuesday with a search of the bedroom uncovering several small bags containing a white crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as another small bag with vicodin and xanax pills and a small bag of marijuana. Scales, a loaded syringe, more marijuana and various paraphernalia were also discovered. 45-year-old Sherry Albert is charged with a class-B felony for distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Also arrested at the scene was 32 year old Richard Gilbert when a search of his vehicle, in the driveway, allegedly uncovered a broken glass pipe which also tested for meth. Gilbert, who accused the officer of planting the pipe, is charged with felony possession. Bond for Albert was set at $50-thousand while bond for Gilbert was set at $25-thousand.
