Emergency Responders have issued the warnings for years, but they try to only enforce it in extreme circumstances: abusing the 9-1-1 call system can lead to criminal charges. An Eldon man apparently crossed that line recently when he allegedly called 9-1-1 at least ten times despite warnings not to call back unless there was an emergency. Authorities with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office say that Glen Strickland kept calling. Now he faces a misdemeanor charge for misusing 9-1-1. Strickland apparently was upset that his wife and son had been arrested the night before. He’s scheduled for an arraignment on May 16th.
