Eldon Man Hurt in Cole Couny Accident

A medical condition is being blamed for a one-car accident sending an 80-year-old Eldon man to the emergency room in Cole County. The highway patrol report indicates that it happened early Thursday afternoon along eastbound-54 just south of Fall Hill Road sending the car driven by Jimmy Stephens off the roadway before striking a tree. Stephens was wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
