Angela Anderson, whose two children died at the Lake of the Ozarks in July of 2012 is taking her case before the state supreme court tomorrow (Wednesday). Anderson’s 14 year old daughter and 8 year old son were electrocuted while swimming and then drowned. In 2013 she filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Morgan County against Ameren Missouri, alleging the company was negligent resulting in the children’s deaths. Following a back and forth battle, Anderson’s recent appeal was denied under the recreational use act. She is now taking her case before the state’s highest court claiming that because Ameren charges fees for dock permits, they should not be protected under that state statute.
