A 62-year-old Lake Ozark resident is scheduled to be in court Wednesday morning (9/28) for a preliminary hearing in connection to a double-fatality wrong way accident in Miller County. Carol Elwyn is charged with two Class-B Felony counts of Involuntary Manslaughter and a Class-C Felony Assault charge for allegedly driving drunk and causing the accident that killed 38-year-old Travis Davolt and 12-year-old Dominic Delong, both from Eldon. 17-year-old Dalton Delong, also from Eldon, was seriously hurt while Elwyn escaped with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident happened on June 3rd on Highway-54 at Walnut Grove Road. Elwyn reportedly told officers that she had been working before the accident at the nearby Shawnee Bluff Vineyard. The hearing will determine if there’s enough evidence for Elwyn, who posted a $75-thousand bond, to stand trial.
