Local emergency management officials are having trouble getting caught up on damage assessments from the last round of storms, and that’s being hampered further now with the most recent round of flooding and other damages. Ann Mott is the assistant director of emergency management in Camden County, where she says the road and bridge department is already estimating $500,000 in damages. She says in terms of a federal disaster declaration, there’s a chance that all the storms and damages the last few weeks could be lumped together and even included with the floods earlier this spring.
If you’ve had damages from the storms, document them the best you can and contact your county emergency management office as soon as possible.
