Summer may not even be over yet and it’s probably one of the last things waterfront property owners are thinking about right now…that is, getting their docks inspected. However, Ameren Missouri’s Bryan Vance says several factors have contributed this year making it a very ideal time to get your structures inspected, despite the Lake Area escaping a lot of potential damage…
Speaking on the “Morning Magazine,” Vance also says local fire departments and electrical contractors are a good place to start to make sure your dock is still safe…
The brunt of recent flooding may be in the past but, according to Vance, there’s still about ten more feet of water to pass from Truman Lake through Bagnell Dam and down along the Osage River. It’s also recommended, with all that’s happened this year, that dock owners take the time, at least, once a week to do a routine check of their GFCI systems.
