Quick thinking by a concrete truck driver in Moniteau County brings to an end the endangered advisory for a 4-year-old out of Warsaw and the suspect, his non-custodial mother, being taken into custody. Sheriff Tony Wheatley says the driver of the concrete truck was flagged down by the woman asking for a ride and stalled the woman until deputies could arrive on the scene. The 4-year-old, Grayson Darnell, was taken to the hospital to be checked out with no apparent injuries while the woman, 36-year-old Julie Darnell, was taken into custody on felony warrants out of Camden, Benton and Lafayette Counties. Miss Darnell now also faces possible charges in Moniteau County as well. The endangered advisory began during the early morning hours on Sunday when Julie Darnell, allegedly, took the 4-year-old from the home of his custodial grandparents in Warsaw.
