A pending motion seeking a change of venue in the double-murder and arson trial of Steven Ray Endsley is scheduled to be taken up a week from today in a Camden County courtroom. The 54-year-old Endsley is accused of the August 29th murders of Teresa Jackson and Danielle Smith, mother and daughter. It is alleged that Endsley stabbed both of them before setting their trailer on fire to try covering up the murders. Endsley is also, separately, charged with a weapons offense in, what had been, an ongoing dispute with Jackson and Smith over sexual orientation. Endsley, who’s being held without bond, and his attorney did not show up last week for a case review hearing on that charge. It’s been re-scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. The change of venue motion is scheduled to be considered next Monday, the 14th.
