Applications and enrollment at Westminster College in Fulton are up around 96-percent while other some colleges and universities in Missouri say they’re struggling to keep students in classes.
The college, northeast of the Lake Area, points to aggressive recruiting through numerous channels.
“E-mailing, text campaigns, social media as well as physical mailing…we’re showing those students that we really want them to be here.”
Jesse Taylor is the Director of Recruitment at Westminster.
“To compliment that, after the fact, they’re able to come visit the campus in-person and our courses are still being held in-person.”
Taylor says Westminster College had its biggest class in four years in the fall of 2020, despite the pandemic.
