All nine members of Missouri’s congressional delegation are sponsoring a bill to protect the property rights of Lake of the Ozarks landowners. The Landowner Protection Act, and similar legislation introduced by both Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill in the Senate, would prohibit the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from enforcing any plan that requires the tearing down of structures along the Lake. Meanwhile, Grassroots opposition is also taking hold. The Lake Area Conservative Club will be holding a town hall meeting Thursday night, aimed at bringing together lakefront property owners at risk of losing their homes. The meeting will take place at the Camdenton High School Little Theater, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
