An inmate who escaped from a southern Missouri jail during a fireworks display is back in custody. Law enforcement tracked 32 year old Jason McClurg to a camper trailer where he was hiding. Police say he surrendered peacefully and no one was hurt. McClurg is being held on first degree murder charges for the death of his wife. According to a report, McClurg was with nine other inmates watching a fireworks display when he broke free Friday night. The deputy that allowed him and the other inmates outside has been fired.
