A proposal to extend Osage Beach Parkway to route “Y” has been put on the back burner and may not even take place. The city’s board of alderman has been notified by MODOT’s central district project manager that the three million dollar cost share project has been left off a list of proposed projects that would be completed if voters approve a ¾ center sales tax increase in august. The city has set aside nearly a million dollars for the project as part of the cost share program. However the city’s board of alderman may consider redistributing that money to other projects since the program has been suspended and the route “Y” project is now in jeopardy.
