There’s still a lot to do at the lake this year, but lake area residents will start cleaning up from the bulk of the season this weekend. The 27th annual fall shoreline cleanup program gets underway Saturday. Since the program began nearly three decades ago, over 14,000 volunteers have participated in removing over five million pounds of rubbish. Participating groups will be split into 12 designated zones that they’ll be responsible for. For more information or to get involved contact the Adopt-the-Shoreline offices at 573-365-9252.
