The Missouri Farm Bureau is worried about the impacts trade tariffs may have on farmers across the state. Blake Hurst discussed the issue on “The Ozarks Today” on KRMS.
China recently announced new import fees on U.S. soybeans, corn, beef, and other products. Hurst, though, says they’re remaining cautiously optimistic that a resolution can be reached before those tariffs go into effect.
Hurst says China imports over ¼ of the entire soybean crop from Missouri and the Midwest. We are the sixth leading soybean producing state in the country.
